Where Do I Belong?

Sometimes I feel like I don't belong. I think what in the world am I doing here. Why do my bones ache, why do I get exhausted and why in the world do I stand out in a crowd? The answer for the first two questions is this - sin and the answer for the last question is Jesus Christ.

We do get tired and our bones do ache. We do get frustrated and sometimes we do feel we don't belong. We need to remember who we are in a world that does not know us. The world could not accept Jesus. Because they did not know Him they will not know us. Because they hated Him they will hate us. That's it, why would we want to belong in a world full of hate? Anyways I mean hate makes people miserable. We are not to be miserable people, we are to be like Christ.

We do belong, we belong in the family of Christ just not in this dirty, stinky world. I have a friend and from the moment I met him I knew that he had the gift of being a pastor. Just today he informed me that he had been accepted to apply for theological seminary for the RPCNA (Reformed Presbyterian Church of North America) to become a pastor. I have prayed that he would become a great man of God, a leader and this is an answer to prayer. Please pray for Steve Zink that God will bless him through this and that he would be accepted.

We do belong, we fit in. We are here to set God's word into action by ministering to others, praying for each other, loving each other, building each other up, encouraging each other. We are a family and that's where we fit in. Hallellujah, Amen, Praise the Lord.

"Come to me all you who are weary and burdened and I will give you rest." Matt 11:28

"Take My yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls." Matt 11:29

Here is a letter quoted from Max Lucado's book "Give It All To Him":

Dear Jesus

I have been carrying around sacks of shame, worry, pain, resentment and failure for too long. I have tried to live with the guilt and hurt, but they've grown heavy. My arms ache. My heart grieves. I can't move forward any longer. I realize that freedom begins not only by confessing my sin by giving it to you. Once my sins are released from me to you, then you take my burden to the cross and there dispose of it forever. I once carried failure, but now I have forgiveness. I once carried hate, but now I have hope. I once carried fear, but now I have freedom. Thank you for removing the garbage of my life. No longer is my life the same old story. Now there is a new beginning. I am free because it is all in Your Hands.

Amen.

I wonder, what would happen to the world if all truly born again Christians would get on their knees and seriously pray for the lost? I believe we must humble ourselves and view people as God views them. We are powerless to love others by ourselves, but with God's strength and love, we can reach others. It breaks my heart to see and realize that many people are dying every single day, and are bound for a lost eternity. The harvest is plentiful, but the labourers are few. Please, I challenge you to pray more for these people. There are billions of people in Asia who do not know God. But we can pray, and give money to native missionaries to help support them as they reach for the lost.

Road To Reality -by- K.P. YOHANNANMany Christians hunger to be more faithful disciples of Jesus but often find themselves distracted by lifestyles that lure them subtly away from Him and His message. In this prophetic and practical book, K.P. Yohannan challenges us to get disentangled from the enticements of contemporary culture. He shows us how to find our way back to the heart of Christianity. (This book is available from the church Library.)

30 Hour Famine 2005

The 30 hour famine of 2005 went well!

We had a smaller number this year but managed to receive around 700 to 1000 dollars.

Kim Chivels and Shane Brownson collected the most money, with an estimation of $300 each.

THE TEAM
We all have dreams,
Do we meet them?
We all have expectations,
Do we see them?

Imaginations that dare to dream,
Dreams which may become reality,
I am reconciled as part of a team,
That means so much to me.

This team is one,
Where each person acts out,
As equally important,
As the other one.

This team aspires to meet a goal,
That will be met and one day perfected,
It is that which will save lost souls,
And bring peace to those elected.

Peace at last,
How can this be?
But it will be,
Through the blood that was spilled on Calvary.

Teamwork, we hear this word so many times. But without it, where are we? As a Christian family we have a full opportunity to fully experience what this word means. God tells us to go out in the harvest. How are we supposed to do this effectively, if we do not work together to meet this goal, God's ultimate goal? "No man is an island, no man stands alone." Sure we go to church on Sunday maybe say hello and then leave, but do we associate with our own family members that way? Do we say "Hi Mom, Hi Dad" and nothing else only once a week? God encourages us to not forsake the assembling of ourselves together. I encourage you to truly reflect on this as it will have a massive impact on your lives.

A friend of mine said..
A friend of mine said to me: "So, how is your armour? Chipped and dented from lots of battles?...best get to the Heavenly Blacksmith for repairs. You know, if we were so busy keeping our armour intact, we probably wouldn't fall prey to so much error and confusion; no time like the present, however, to do a system check for spiritual weaknesses...our own personal AVG!!
